It all depends. Some like the full synthetics some like dino oil's. The synthetics will give you a longer drain interval. Dino oil's are a little cheaper but still good. As far as filter's you always want to go with a really good one. The cheaper one's will not trap and deposit's as well as a lesser one. Also check my poat on what is an oil base stock.

I've been running Exxon XD-3 15W-40 for the life of my trucks and never had a issue yet... Both trucks at right around 140K miles.

Mopar filters are made with paper media not the best for filtration. they will clog up with particles and sludge much quicker than Amsoil oil filters. Which are a nano-fiber technology. Amsoil oil filters are guaranteed for 25,000 miles.

EaO Filters provide a filtering efficiency in accordance with industry standard ISO 4548-12 of 98.7 percent at 15 microns, while competitive filters containing conventional cellulose medias range from 40 to 80 percent efficiency.

As for filters I go for the fleetgaurd for fuel and oil filter and Frantz Bypass filter for the oil...

This Is the internals of an Amsoil oil filter. In cunjuction with Amsoil oil you can extened your drain interval to 25,000 miles . If you do oil analysis the drain interval can be extended further.
