okay...you know those 30 minute projects that turn into all day, do or die, committed to finish projects? Well, i've got one! Anyone else tried to debadge their 09 yet? I've done it before on other trucks, and yeah, it took some time, but this glue is a *****! I've tried rubbing alcohol (followed by a good soapy scrub), i've scraped until all of my fingers have oozing blisters at their ends, and i've tried lighter fluid (crazy, but the best so far). Is there anything that won't kill my paint that will get this crap off of my truck? I've considered sticker remover, but isn't that only good for glass? Please help!

thanks!

I did mine the 1st day I got it home, even took the emblem off the tailgate. waiting on BT to make me a POW one. For now though I have a color matched vinyl that I had cut out to fit in the indention.

On the 09 rams, the tailgate has the dodge ram shield on the center. If you look at it theres an indention, where the shields sits in. IF you take it off you will have 3 holes left behind. So you will have to cover it up.

just thought i'd give you all a suggestion for something i did...i actually used to use fishing line and a hair dryer to remove badges, couldn't find any line at my house, so used dental floss...but now i have an awesome use for something totally out there-->after breaking my 20th piece of floss, and not wanting to get my wife's hair dryer again, i decided to use a cable tie to remove the badges. i shot some wd40 behind them, let it soak for a couple minutes, and then used a cable tie in a sawing motion to remove them. it worked sooo easily! the ridges really help to work through the glue, and because it's plastic, it didn't hurt my paint job. just thought i'd share!
