My 06 ram big horn is a manual 6 speed, with this being my first and new model truck, I am completely lost when it comes to upgrades, mods, etc... Yeah my truck is a manual 6 speed, and I am familiar with upgrades on shift kits and bushings that can like make your shifting a bit smoother, my main issue is I dont have a clue where to start looking because a ram with a manual tranny is kind of not popular around ( if you didnt know they make them), I also need to find out what kind of tranny I have, parts, are my gears synchronize or not, and a whole more just to know exactly what I have part wise, I purchased the truck used at a lot, in good condition with 43K on the dash back in January, and all it came with was the owner manual, so I've been looking around and online for a chilton or haynes for my model. I've learned that some of the parts on the ram are identical to those on a same generation dodge jeep, since its more popular of jeeps being manual shifts, im guessing I probably have the same tranny, and clutch system parts.

Well I can't help you too much. Yes as far as I know your tranny is a synchronized tranny. I don't believe that any manufactorer has made a non synchronized tranny in many years.
As far as a betteer shifter you will need to a lot of web searching. try the usuals like Hurst shifter company.
