I have recdntly agreed to purchase a 92 Dodge with 166,000 ,iles on it. THe truck itself is in exceptional condition. All of the small things like belts, hoses, radiator etc have been replaced.

The second owner was meticulous to the point of coring out the radiator, replacing the transmission, installing brake booster, fan clutch etc. It looks as if the original paint is on the truck with very little fading wear except for the hood and top.

What else would I look for? Carfacts tells very little.

THanks for the help

Just the basic things you would otherwise check for on any potential vehicle purchase. I would make sure the ball joints and U-Joints aren't worn out.

Get under it and take a look to see if the power steering pump is leaking. Cost about $400 to fix the leak. Also look to see if Diff pinion shaft leaks. The seal is easy to replace but about 140-150k miles may leak.
