trany troblems some saprise right.... plz help

the guy whom had the truck befor i liked to show off alot. that being said when im in drive once the trany gets to temp it does not stay in gear untill you hit 80mph or if you go like 30 to 35 mph then it doesnt like to go in reverse it takes a min or two. what my question is; how can i fix this problem with out rebuilding or buying a new trany?

I had a dakota doing something similar to when it got to temp it wouldn't go into overdrive but i didn't have any trouble with reverse. what i did was buy a transmission control solenoid and that solved my problem. Hope it helps.
