I am a newbie to this forum but thought you folks might have an answer to my question. I have an 08 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Longhorn 4X4. I live in the Northeast and take off my chrome wheels and tires and put 4 steel wheels (the spare wheel type) on for the winter with a set of heavier load 20"Coopers. I do this for two reasons - so the salt doesn't eat up the chrome wheels and because I haul a slide in camper and pull a motorcycle trailer to Florida in Feb. and want higher load wheels and tires. I painted the wheels to match the truck, but they are still pretty plain. The wheels have no "bumps" on the centers to hold dog dish type caps. Will center caps from earlier, smaller diameter wheels that bolt on with lugs work? Thanks for any help.
