Snow Tires or no snow tires?

Hey all,

I never thought I would need snow tires on a truck but has anyone had them on or would recommend? Also wondering what everyones experience has been with the stock tires in winter driving conditions. I am a little nervous of these Goodyear Wrangler HP's and there ability to get me through a good ole Canadian Snow filled winter??

If you can swing it i'd go with the snow tires up in the frozen tundra. I assume you have a 4x4 so you can make it without but better to be fully prepared. We've had such weird weather it seems like we are probably in for some serious snowfall this winter. Let us know what you decide.

I have the same tires on my truck,& i live in the desert southwest. New mexico to be exact. If I lived where you do I would have zero confidence in those tires in any wet conditions. Mine slide on just wet pavement. I can't even imagine how bad they would be in the snow. I defiantely would get some snow tires.

I live in West Michigan. The 20" Goodyear Wrangler work fine for me in the snow.

i agree im in northern ohio. i was very pleased at the snow performance of the 20' goodyear wranglers.in 4x4 they bite and go

I run chains I stoll of my old big rig and cut to size.

i had the 20" goodyears on mine and my tires always wanted to get away from me on wet pavement. so i got rid of them and put on the good year silent armor all terrain tires. i couldn't of made a better choice. really quiet and great tread. i live in northern new york. so you know i need a good tire for winter and off road!

I ditched my Wrangler HP when in bought my truck and put on BF Goodrich AT they were good tires in winter you still have to drive for the season, with allittle caution they wear on gravel fast though, coming from a fellow canadian

ive got the 20" goodyear and its a prety good tire. in two wheel drive they slip and slide on me in the rain, like today. but in 4x4 rain, snow, dirt they have got me just about everywere.
