Hello. I am glad I found this site. I have a Ram 1500 5.7L and the engine has stalled twice, once while driving down the road and once while in a parking lot in drive with foot on the brake, and does not want to restart. It sits for a while then will restart. Was out of town the first time so had it towed to the local dealer. It did not give any codes for them and started and ran fine. Said they did a software upgrade and that might take care of it. Sadly it did not. It failed and stalled again last night (2nd time in parking lot) and is now at the dealer, it started for them this morning. They will not get to it until Monday and was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what has been done to fix it.

Also I did notice a couple of time the rpm's would bounce up and down while pressing on the gas going up hill, let my foot off the pedal then back on and it went away.....

Thanks for your time. I am looking forward to being a part of this site. Like what I have already seen.

Don't no 4 sure if this is your fix but recently had the same problem my cousin put
my truck on the reader and came out to be a crank shaft sensor. Quick and simple
fix $20 part and 10 min to change. Screw's right in to the engine block. I have a
"05" 1500. Hopefully this is it. Good luck

Thank you so much. I will try to suggest that to the dealer and see what they say. I have also been reading about the '05 stall and people have changed the EGR valve? A lean mixture causing a stall? Would that be possible on the '09 as well?
