Sorry, would have just deleted the thread if I could have. To elaborate will admit how dumb (and half deaf) I am but I'll go ahead because there might be some other newbies to MDS out there that are wondering what they hear sometime too. Turns out what I thought was a noise from my rear end was the sound made when the MDS kicks in. I've got the factory duals and they sound pretty bad when running in the 4 banger mode. Couple that with my hearing being blown out back in the 60's and 70's and I'd have bet anyone a paycheck that the noise was coming from the rear end.

I have the single factory exhaust ( 2010 1500 5.7) and when it drops to 4 jugs it is quite noticeable to my ears. The wife can't tell the difference at all but as you described it I initially thought it was a drivetrain issue.

Thank you for the info. Please do stop back often, the more people we have here the more we can help each other out.

I am convinced my MDS does not work or it works properly cuz I get no noise, hesitation, you cannot tell when this thing switches in and out of MDS...in the summer I am gonna ride in the back with the tailgate off and get my wife to drive the way you would think the MDS would kick in and see if I hear anything..
