Does anyone know if an exhaust kit from flowmaster that is made for an 04-05 5.7L hemi would cause any problems with a 2002 5.9L other than the hangers being different? here is the link to the kit

Any information or experience in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the other kits available, the inlet size is 3" on this system, and the others with the 4.7L and 5.9L as well. Hanger locations shouldn't be affected.

Wait. This kit doesn't say standard cab/short bed, which it appears you have. Is this true???

Yes I do have a standard cab short bed, I'm more worried about the system affecting the way the truck runs more than the way it fits. I can fabricate it if need be.

Shouldn't affect anything. I've seen plenty of Ram trucks with Flowmaster systems, specifically 5.9L trucks with a 40 series Muffler, and the truck runs fine, and sounds good. Might be a little louder sweeping out the side, you may notice more interior resonance too as a result.

Great, thanks for the info! I'm going for a more aggressive sound, that's why I was interested in this particular kit.

I have a 2002 4.7L with a Flowmaster 40 series cat-back kit I picked up on EBAY for $250 with shipping. Its an OEM FM muffler with AM pipes prebent to the trucks specs. It was sold as a clamp on kit but I spent $200 to have it welded in. Its been on for over a year with no problems and it sounds awesome! It definitely is an aggressive sound and a head turner. There will be a little more interior resonance but its not bad.
