Does anyone know where I could find a set of HID or projector lights for the 09 1500? I know that I can buy the lamps alone but I have heard that they can melt the OEM housing. I would like to find the full set, lights and glass housing. I had them on my old Silverado, my dad has them on his Tahoe and mom's Acura comes standard and we all loved them. The lights on my 09 are just too dim. I live in Kentucky and the deer are a problem year round. I have hit 6 in my 10 years of driving.
Or can anyone tell me a better choice for standard lights that are brighter than OEM? I think I put Sylvania Silverstars in my sisters VW, but that was a while ago. Thanks for the help.
I love this site, any question that you have can most likely be answered by a number of people here. Best site for information that you need to know.

I was looking to do the same to my truck. Its also an 09 1500. I had ordered a kit off of ebay that was for my truck supposedly. I took everything apart and took one look at the harness and saw that it had different ends than what I needed. The order was right but I guess there were a few rams that were made in 09 as the 3.5 Generation. My guess would be that it was meant for those. So be careful and try to get a picture of the ends before you buy. If you cant I would look for 2010 Ram kits.

Bump.........
I agree with my brother from Kentucky. Stock '09 Ram headlights suck. I too live in deer territory. Any info would be appreciated. My wife hit two deer already with her truck and I DO NOT want to catch her if I don't have my bow in my hands.

Try a better bulb , I changed mine out with Sylvania Silver Stars , they are a 100 percent better than any stock bulb . By the way don't bother with Piaas as they are lame compared to Sylvania's

I put the Sylvania Silver Stars in my truck, the were incredible.
The only problem was they'd burn out every 8 months or so.
Brighter Light= Hotter Bulb= Less Life.
I'd like to get some Projectors or HIDs if i could afford some.

I will probably try a brighter bulb and then maybe after taxes come back, I will actually be able to afford the projectors.

Something that was explored over at our affiliate LXForums was HIR Bulbs. A type of bulb with a coating on the lens.
