I have a 2003 Ram with the 4.7 engine and I am having a problem with the heater. It works fine on the passenger side, but not on the driver side. The air blowing out on the driver side is cool even though the passenger side is hot like it should be. The air coming out of the defrost and at the feet is also cool on the passenger side. Any ideas what I need to look for? Thanks,

I have the same problem on my 2002 4.7L. All my research has pointed towards a broken blend door buried way under the dash. I have not attempted the fix but sounds like its pretty involved.

Do you have single zone or dual zone???

It isn't that involved. If you have no aftermarket alarm or remote start, this is the easiest dash to remove (there is the overlay harness wire for the blower motor on 2002's though) The only speed bump of getting the heater box out is getting the A/C receiver/dryer disconnected from the top evaporator connection.
I have an 06 Ram 1500 and the blend door is the problem. it broke the first time just short of 80K miles and $945.00 for Brewbaker dodge to fix and now it has broken again at 130,000. I guess being it is still in great shape i will attempt the fix.
Is there anyone that know of a quick fix to repair the door inside the HVAC didtribution box which seem to be the problem. I'm not apposed to some back yard fix if it does not trash the box or my interior.
