Wiring Problems??

Has anyone had any problems hooking up a new cd player to a 94-01 dodge ram 1500? I just bought a brand new sony head unit and for some reason when I hook everything up the radio works but, the ipod jack or the cd player doesnt work... I have a good ground and the cd player works in my dads truck. Any input??
