Remember, if in doubt, if you don't know the person or haven't seen the screen name before, don't open the PM. Click on the users screen name and look at their profile. Look at post counts, and their personal info. Newbie, just delete the PM and report the user.

I've gotten 3 or 4 of those in the last week. By the time I log on, the user that sent them seems to be banned already.

Isn't there a setting on the admin side of the site that disables posting of links for members with less than "x" amount of posts? I think that would slowdown the spamming influx we've seen lately....

I'm not on the admin side of things, so I asked the question in the support team forum. Hopefully Dave (RapidTransit) come back again today and answers it.

Let me start by saying I understand the reason for the minimum post count and PM restrictions. TBird, your instructions say to mark the message and delete it. When I try to delete the message, it tells me I am restricted. So, because I don't post unless I have something useful to say, that makes my post count practically nothing. I don't post just for the sake of posting so I can jack up my post count. All I want to do is delete the crap that I get from these trolling forum idiots. So, if I'm not allowed to do it, can someone do it for me?
