Boy did I get screwed

Just purchased a predator and usb cable kit from diablo sport and try to install it said it had to be updated after spending over 2 hrs trying to get the update to work no luck. Pretty impressive for a 375.00 unit I will be sending it back first thing in the morning and purchasing something else. I should have read the forum on diablo's website first I guess it is full of the same complaints

supercharged a budies hemi this winter used the diablo sport. updated it like the info said no problems....bought one for myself ( waiting to install cai and headers before i use it) i would call the tech line before i returned it. good luck finding a better tuner

The tuners out these days are about as different as a Gmc and a Chevrolet truck. My advice is disregard 99% of the comments you see on the forums about anything. Just learn to use your new toy and you will be happy. I have two sct tuners a diblo and can say one is not bettter than the other its the tuner that makes the difference. If your just wanting to make simple changes on your own keep the diablo.

It ended up being the usb cable they sent went to best buy spent another 40 bucks on a good cable it works now. I have'nt driven it that much but can tell a difference shifting

Having to spend another 30-40 bucks on something that is supposed to be complete is a pain and not really working out in anybody's favor except best buy and other such stores . If its a driver problem for the usb to serial its a easy fix and should be taking care of on Ds's end. Most folks will not know how to solve such problems and will automatically start a thread like this one.

Agreed....its just we were too far along in thelife of the Predator to include the cables (packaging, pricing, etc), and the cables were never really NEEDED for our GM and Ford applications.

FWIW< Trinity is USB based and comes with the necessary cables, as will the inTune, the Predators replacement tool due out this year.
