Well I just did my second mod to the truck and the first performance mod. My diablo predator and I def love the difference, and for those of you who say a programmer wont help MPG here is the proof.

That is all highway driving with the A/C on.

My truck was labeled to get 14-18 mpg but the best Ive gotten is 12mpg. Usually goes around 9-11 mpg.

Explain the "mod" you had done, if you could.

I installed the diablo predator. Its a hand held tuner like an SCT or hypertech.

I did it myself it takes maybe about 15 mins to do. I haven't taken it to a track but it runs great now and a noticeable power gain.

This sounds like a great mod. Would it affect your warrantee?

No not at all. In fact when you take your truck in all you have to do is flash it back to stock and the deal would never know it was ever there. It literally takes maybe 15 mins. It also allows you to put a tune in to run either 87 octane 91 octane or 93 octane. I use the 93 octane tune and love the performance on the street and the gas mileage on the highway. You wont really see that big of a difference in MPG in the city though.

If you would like shoot me a pm and I can order you one threw my shop.

I just ordered mine last night. I did a pretty good amount of reading about both products ( Predator and Flashpaq). I even watched a video of how the Predator is made, very interesting.

I will report back once i get it installed and let everybody know what I'm seeing as far as overall improvements go.

Hook it up to your OBDII port and rung the program

What he said. A lot of the Predators require an update, via your computer, once you get them. First, you plug it into your data port, it boots up and you go from there.

If you order one, make sure you get the 12V power supply and the data interface cable to use with your PC as you will need them!

I have a 4.7 liter dodge ram will that work for my truck also ? The 4.7 will require a different tuner, but I believe it is now available, or soon to be released. Mike is right, I have one on my RT Magnum and will soon be getting one for the Ram.

If the one for the Ram works even half as well as the one for the LXs then this will be one of the best mods available. My Magnum SRT runs like it should have from the factory. I would have one on the Ram now but my "Mod Money" is focused on the Magnum... For now.
