Who here has actually put there truck on a dyno. we just got our shop dyno up and running since we moved and I was able to put the new truck up on the dyno. I must say for this 5.7 I and very very disappointed.
The truck made 249 rwhp and 282 rwtq. For a motor that is rated at 375 hp it should of at least made 300 to the wheels. Even on my mustang dyno.
Oh by the way this is with my diablo predator tune in it. We did find that the biggest problem with these motors is going to be heat soak.
We even tried opening the intake and taking the filter out and running an open or cracked open box with no filter to get the absolute best air flow and it didn't even give me 1hp difference.
This makes me think that adding an intake really isn't going to make that big of a difference. I will keep you guys posted though.
Having the dyno again will allow me to put the truck up there every couple of weeks or at least every time I get something done to it to see if it makes a difference.
