Who here has actually put there truck on a dyno. we just got our shop dyno up and running since we moved and I was able to put the new truck up on the dyno. I must say for this 5.7 I and very very disappointed.

The truck made 249 rwhp and 282 rwtq. For a motor that is rated at 375 hp it should of at least made 300 to the wheels. Even on my mustang dyno.

Oh by the way this is with my diablo predator tune in it. We did find that the biggest problem with these motors is going to be heat soak.

We even tried opening the intake and taking the filter out and running an open or cracked open box with no filter to get the absolute best air flow and it didn't even give me 1hp difference.

This makes me think that adding an intake really isn't going to make that big of a difference. I will keep you guys posted though.

Having the dyno again will allow me to put the truck up there every couple of weeks or at least every time I get something done to it to see if it makes a difference.

Post up the sheet!!! I would like to see the curve. IMHO the peak numbers are secondary. What smothing did you use? Are these SAE numbers? The heat soak is a known problem with these Motors, drop in a 180* or even a 170* T-Stat and it helps some.

the sheet is usless, but I will try and find it anyways. Its impossible to get a full pass on the truck because you can lock it into 3rd gear and 2nd is to short to get the correct pull going. This is with a predator 87 oct tune.

Surprised with an open box it didnt even gain 1rwhp.
Buddies 408 picked up 11rwhp on a mustangdyno we use for tuning at the shop that does our machine work. Only change made was removing the air filter. 448rw closed & 459rw open.

i think the company is called BFI...they make a great intake for your gen hemi...and Aero makes an awesome muffler. the AT3030 sounds freakin amazing dumped. my brother has one on his 08 hemi and it almost sounds like he has headers at times. it's a turbine muffler that sounds sick when spooling up and down.
