Has anyone put HID lights on there new ram yet. I am having some big time problems with mine. I am new to Dodge, but have extesive knowledge in Japanese automotive wiring ect. I ordered plug and play kits for the hi, low and fog lights. The fog lights work fine. But the Hi and Low beam kits will cut on and work propery until you crank the truck. Then theystrobe non stop, if you cut off the truck they will stop. Ok so i built a harness because of a possibe amperage issue. I wired everything directly to the battery except I used the factory headlight power to trigger a relay to cut on the headlights. Now they will strobe for about 10-12 seconds and stop. I am thinking it might be some type of CAN signal pulsation, but again I am unfamilar with Dodge elecrtrical systems. Any ideas or help?

Aftermarket HID's typically need capacitors wired in to prevent flickering from voltage variations.

I bought a HID kit yesterday and i had to buy a cancler chip to bypass something in the Dodge. It was 90 bucks. the guy told me that all dodges have this promblem. ANY TIPS ON REMOVING THE HEADLIGHT BULBS? DO I HAVE TO REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS ITSELF? WHAT IS THE BEST WAY. THANKS

Check out www.dodgetalk.com (http://www.dodgetalk.com) - there is at least one thread on head light replacement. I had my bulbs replaced 2 weeks back and the guy told me part of what he had to do was come in through the wheel wells.

Hey guys,
I have only had my Dodge for about two weeks and that is one thing that I would really like to install. Where did you guys purchase your HID Kits?
Regards,

I wanted to put HID in my truck but my dealer warned me ahead of time that if i do dodge will void my warranty for electrical and headlight lenses....
My dealer told me the had a previous owner with a 2009 that came in with melted headlight lenses and he tried to get them replaced under warranty until the technician discovered out why they melted he had an HID system installed
