The starter relay is on the LF inner fender, just ahead of the battery tray, next to the TIPM (Underhood fuse block). I'd check fuse 10 in the TIPM first to see if it's blown. This can cause a no crank.

I have 1997 ,1500 dodge ram 4x4 and have problem starting it .Relay is a OK but for some reason it will not start when you turn the key.Found out that negative side for the relay coil is not beeing turned on so it's not activating the relay.
You said that you had to re download computer.Could you please tell me how you did that and is it posible for me to do it on my own or should I get mechanic to do it.
Thanks

Your 97 is way different than the original posters' 2006. If you have an auto trans then the fround side of the relay is controlled by the neutral switch. Check the switch connector too. This connector can come apart too. If a stick shift the ground circuit goes through 2 splices to ground G119, which is near the A/C compressor.

Thanks for your information. It was neutral switch that prevented starter from starting it.
After puting it in neutral , starter will start the engene.
Thanks again for your info and your diagram. Now I have to change the neutral switch after I locate it.
Tbird you are the best.
Thanks
