Anyone know what the comparable amperage is for 22 gauge fusible link wire?

thanks...it's nice to feel welcome. am having little luck figuring out how to repair/replace a 22ga fusible link wire to the ignition...don't want to go up in flames. but i'll just keep looking or install another type of slow fuse.

For 22awg wire...ya lookin about 10 amps max...I wouldn't put more than 6-8 amps across it...how much amperage are you going to be throwing across it...if it's gonna be less than 25 for just a second or two...I'd go with a 18awg...it'll hold that amperage better plus allow for a better flow for prolonged current(i.e. cold starts, truck problems, etc.)

Mind you that all the amperage i am talkin about is continious load...the 22awg will hold 30-40 amps for a second or two...but is more prone to deteriation of the conductor because of the smaller guage and more resistance to current flow...
