Amsoil has introduced 2 new premium diesel oil's for any 2007 and newer diesel trucks.

1. Premium CJ-4 5w-40 (deo)
2. Premium 15w-40 CJ-4 (dem)

Both of these oil's give you the ability to extend your drain interval up to 3 times the oem spec.

These new oils are also reversible. And also work well in older trucks.

Below is a service bulliten put out by Aimsoil that states because of excessive fuel dilution cause by the DPF regeneration system on the '07 Dodge & newer trucks, extended oil drain intervals are not recommended with any of their oils beyond OE reccomendations.

I have a Ram 1500 myself. I wouldn't advise doing anything that would harm a vehicle. If your Ram is a diesel between the years of 07 and 2010, I would advise you do change your oil per OEM specs (see link above posted by Super Briar). However, if you are a different year and not diesel I stand by Amsoil and the product knowledge they've provided me with along with their years of tests that support you being able to change the oil every 3 times the OEM's recommendations.

My Ram's oil hasn't been changed since April and I've put on about 12,000 miles since that time. A great number of this is highway miles.

Feel free to do your own research and ask me any questions. If I don't have the answer at my finger tips I'd be happy to search them out for you.

Happy Holidays!
